Oceana Maritime Training Institute is a marine training institute founded with the objective of imparting quality Maritime Education & Training to existing & fresh candidates joining the Merchant Navy. It is headed by a foreign going Master mariner who has more than Many years of shipping experience, both at sea and ashore, with a maximum of time at the highest levels of management. He is assisted by suitably qualified, dedicated and experienced lecturers and practical training Instructors who endeavor to ensure that the candidates who pass out have been appropriately trained and groomed so as to make their positive mark in the International Shipping Industry.
Oceana Maritime Training Institute is in the business of marine training offering deck and engineering level courses. Students are trained to join international level shipping companies both on the navigational side and the engine side. The course program has been developed to provide marine safety education, ship operation courses, and document courses, as well as programs that provide students with a certificate and Merchant Marine Document upon completion. The academy has its own hostel with facilities for games and sports.
